The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has denied claims that an aircraft belonging to Royal Air Maroc was attacked on arrival at the runway of Murtala Murhammed International Airport (MMIA) on Friday morning.
“Our team of Avsec was on Aplha 3/4 to escort this aircraft. There was no attack. In fact, the RGM/AcoS are in air Marco office now to clear the air,” Henrietta Yakubu, general manager, corporate affairs of FAAN, said.
A source close to the airport authorities had claimed the aircraft was attacked and that led to the opening of the rear cargo door. The source however did not give details of the incident.
