Subsidy: FG gets court order to stop labour unions’ strike

The Federal government has sued the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) to court and banned it from carrying out its planned strike.

This was disclosed in a court order signed by Justice O.Y Anuwe, Judge, on a suit N0: NICN/ABJ/158/2023 between the claimants/applicants – Federal Government of Nigeria, the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice and the defendant/respondent – Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

The defendant/respondents are hereby restrained from embarking on the planned industrial action/or strike of any nature, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice dated June 5, 2023.
