Flour Mills of Nigeria, a leading Nigerian food processing company, has commissioned a solar-powered clean water plant at Gbaji-Yeke Community in Badagry.
The company in a statement said the milestone was achieved in partnership with the Lagos State Government under the ‘One Community at A Time project’ (OCAAT), aimed at addressing the specific needs of grassroots communities and providing sustainable solutions.
The group said the water project was part of its commitment to driving sustainable growth across Nigeria.
“We are proud to partner with the Lagos State Government through the One Community At A Time project to deliver this solar-powered clean water plant,” said Wale Adediran, group HR & services director FMN, at the commissioning ceremony.

“This initiative exemplifies our commitment to community development, sustainable practices, and positively impacting the lives of Nigerians. Access to clean water is a basic human right, and we are delighted to play a role in ensuring its availability to the residents of Gbaji-Yeke,” he added.
Folashade Jaji, secretary to the state government, expressed her excitement about the project and its impact on the Gbaji-Yeke Community.
She said, “The commissioning of this solar-powered clean water plant marks a significant milestone in the OCAAT initiative, delivering critical infrastructure for Lagos State communities.
