…says one victim rescued
The Kogi State command of the Nigeria Police has confirmed the abduction of six officials of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) along the notorious Lokoja / Kabba road.
William Aya, the State Police Public Relations Officer told our correspondent by telephone on Monday that the JAMB officials who are from the head office, Abuja, were heading towards Kabba on Sunday when their vehicle was stopped shortly after Obajàna.
They were said to be travelling to Kabba in preparation for the Mock JAMB examination scheduled for Tuesday.
However, Ayah revealed that one of them simply identified as Hamza was rescued while an identity card belonging to one of the victims was recovered by men of the Anti-Robbery Squad.
Ayah declined to give further information details on the development on the incident.
