Dotun Adeoye, Co-convener of the conference, emphasised the impact of last year’s edition. “InnovateAI Lagos 2024 was a stepping stone. For 2025, we are examining how AI can drive inclusive growth, solve economic challenges, and catalyse innovation across Nigeria,” he said.
Reflecting on the first edition’s success, which brought together over 4,000 participants, Adeoye added, “The 2024 conference sparked collaborations, inspired innovation, and influenced policies and businesses. It led to measurable progress across industries.”
This year’s conference is set to surpass these achievements, with a projected attendance of over 6,000 in-person participants and through livestreams to 12 AI-in-Nigeria Community Hubs established across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
Ehia Erhaboh, Director of AI in Nigeria, described the conference as a movement rather than just an event. “We are building on last year’s successes to deliver actionable outcomes that shape Nigeria’s future. This year, we delve into transformative AI innovations to solve pressing challenges like unemployment, infrastructure gaps, and financial inclusion.”
