Flamingos head coach Akeem Ishola Busari has invited 36 players to the Nigeria U17 girls’ camp ahead of next month’s second-round qualifying fixture for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria will face the winner of the first-round clash between the Niger Republic and Guinea. Niger Republic hosts the first leg this weekend, with the return fixture scheduled for next weekend in Conakry.
The eventual winner will take on Nigeria, bronze medallists at the 2022 edition, in the second round. The first leg is slated for the weekend of May 22 to 24, while the Flamingos will host the return leg on May 30.

Busari, who recently replaced Bankole Olowookere, has selected a balanced squad comprising five goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 13 midfielders, and eight forwards as he begins his tenure.
The 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals will be held in Morocco from October 17 to November 7.
