Meskerem Tadesse Goshime, head of Women’s Football Development for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has discosed that players’ safety and well-being is central to the football’s body.

“The safety and well-being of our players is central to CAF’s mission. Through this workshop, we are equipping our players with the skills and knowledge they need, both on and off the field,” said Goshime, during the just concluded 2-day workshop.

According to her, the workshops are a testament to CAF’s commitment to ensure that female athletes are supported in all aspects of their careers.

CAF partnered FIFPRO on a two-day safeguarding and player-centric wellness workshop as part of its ‘Protect the Dream’ program.

The initiative was held ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024 kick-off, reflecting CAF’s continued commitment to empowering female players with the knowledge and resources essential for a safe and sustainable career in football.
