According to reports from Italy, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is poised to fly to Paris within the next 48 hours to finalise his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

The 25-year-old Nigerian striker has been the subject of intense speculation, with Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG, and several Saudi Arabian clubs showing interest.

Negotiations have advanced significantly, with PSG offering Osimhen a contract until 2029 worth €14 million per year.

Italian media outlet Il Mattino reports an agreement has been reached between Napoli and PSG, signalling Osimhen’s imminent departure from Napoli’s Dimaro training camp. His agent, Roberto Calenda, has been in France since Monday, working to seal the deal.

“The twist in the evening, with Napoli opening up to PSG after direct contact between De Laurentiis and Nasser Al-Khelaifi: unless there is another violent rift, the operation will be completed within a few hours and in the next few hours Victor Osimhen will leave for Paris, his new destination,” as quoted by Area Napoli.

“The deal is almost done and details need to be worked out. The striker has only one preference, PSG, as has been said many times. The suitcase is now packed.”

Despite a lucrative offer from Al Ahli, Osimhen prefers to stay in Europe and is uninterested in the Saudi League. Napoli manager Antonio Conte hinted at a possible agreement for Osimhen’s departure during a press conference at the club’s pre-season training camp. Napoli is reportedly considering Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement.

Osimhen has rejected Saudi Arabia Al Ahli’s offer, prioritising a move within Europe. With his agent actively working in Paris, a summer transfer to PSG seems imminent, despite the substantial release clause that remains a significant challenge for interested clubs.
