According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Manchester United’s initial offer for Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu has been rejected, as the Serie A club holds out for a higher fee in the January transfer window.

Manchester United directors were in Milan on Tuesday to negotiate potential deals involving Napoli and Lecce, with discussions on Alejandro Garnacho’s possible move to Napoli and a bid for 20-year-old Dorgu as his replacement.

Reports vary on United’s offer, with Sky claiming it was €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses, while Fabrizio Romano suggests the base offer was €27 million, excluding bonuses. Despite the discrepancy, Lecce has clarified that they expect an improved bid before considering a January sale.

The young Denmark international attracted interest from Napoli, who reportedly explored signing him during the summer transfer window. However, Lecce is firm in their stance, emphasizing that Dorgu will not leave unless their valuation is met.

Manchester United are expected to return with a revised offer as they aim to secure the promising defender and finalize their squad for the second half of the season.
