Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte will miss Manchester United‘s Europa League last-16 first-leg tie against Real Sociedad on Thursday after failing to train on Wednesday and not travelling with the squad to Spain.
Maguire was subbed off in the 90th minute during United’s FA Cup exit against Fulham, while Ugarte was withdrawn after 53 minutes. Both players sustained minor injuries.
United boss Ruben Amorim is already dealing with multiple absences including Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, and Lisandro Martínez. Meanwhile, 17-year-old striker Chido Obi is ineligible for the Europa League.
However, left-back Patrick Dorgu is available despite serving a domestic suspension, and midfielder Toby Collyer, who has missed four games with a muscle injury, has returned to training and travelled with the team.
The match against the La Liga side kicks off at 17:45 GMT on Thursday.
