Sacked Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior will not receive the full £24 million compensation initially linked to his dismissal, just over three months into his tenure.
The former Strasbourg manager signed a six-and-a-half-year contract in January, reportedly worth £4 million per season, but his spell in charge fell well short of expectations.

Although the deal length suggested a potential £24 million payout, Chelsea have informed Rosenior that he will not receive the full amount. Such break clauses are common in elite football contracts.
Reports indicate the final settlement will be significantly lower, although the exact figure will likely remain undisclosed until the club’s next financial accounts are released via Companies House.
Chelsea’s decision followed a dismal run of form, including a fifth consecutive Premier League defeat.
Calum McFarlane has been appointed interim head coach until the end of the season.
“Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with Head Coach Liam Rosenior,” a club statement read.
“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, we would like to thank Liam and his staff for their efforts during their time with the club.”
Rosenior leaves after overseeing a poor run that included six consecutive league defeats, bringing an abrupt end to his short-lived spell at Stamford Bridge.
