French winger Kingsley Coman has ended his decade-long stay at Bayern Munich, sealing a €35 million move to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr.
Bayern confirmed the transfer on Friday evening, with the 28-year-old departing after winning multiple Bundesliga titles and famously scoring the decisive goal in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
At Al-Nassr, Coman links up with Ronaldo, João Félix, and former Bayern teammate Sadio Mané in what promises to be one of the most formidable attacking lines in world football.
The Saudi giants, who finished third last season, have strengthened aggressively this summer following Ronaldo’s two-year contract extension in June. They also recently added former Barcelona defender Iñigo Martínez.
Coman’s exit comes shortly after Bayern signed Luis Díaz from Liverpool, increasing competition for wide positions under new coach Vincent Kompany. The Belgian paid tribute to the winger after their Bundesliga triumph last season.
“When a player as successful as him leaves, it’s always a bit emotional,” Kompany said.
Coman leaves Bayern with 8 Bundesliga titles, a Champions League crown, and a legacy as one of the club’s most decisive players.
