Fans hoping to watch the Super Eagles live will pay N1,000 for a popular stand ticket to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on Friday in Uyo.

This highly anticipated World Cup qualifier will be held at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, starting at 8 pm Nigerian time.

According to a statement from Ademola Olajire, Director of Communications at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), tickets for the popular stand will be sold for N1,000, and tickets for the VIP stand will be priced at N3,000.

Olajire announced that ticket sales will begin Thursday morning at various strategic locations across Akwa Ibom.

“Tickets to access the Godswill Akpabio Stadium for Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana will go on sale starting Thursday morning,” Olajire stated. “While tickets for the popular stands will be sold for N1,000 each, VIP area tickets will be available for N3,000 each.”

Alizor Chuks, NFF’s Head of Marketing and Sponsorship, added that tickets will be available at multiple designated points across the state.

“Our aim is to have as many sales points as possible away from the stadium and to ensure that ticket sales are completed by Friday evening before the game begins,” Chuks explained.

The Super Eagles camp in Uyo is bustling with activity as 20 players trained on Tuesday evening at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, gearing up for the crucial match.

This match is a rematch of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final, where the Super Eagles triumphed over South Africa with a 4-2 victory on penalties.
