Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan will battle for European supremacy in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League final on Saturday night at the iconic Allianz Arena in Munich.

For PSG, it’s a golden opportunity to finally break their duck in Europe’s premier club competition after years of falling short. Inter, meanwhile, are aiming to add a fourth Champions League crown to their illustrious history.

PSG chase first UCL glory

The final marks PSG’s second appearance in a Champions League final, having lost to Bayern Munich in 2020. Under Luis Enrique, the Parisians have been in scintillating form, winning Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France, and now eyeing a historic treble.

Luis Enrique, who won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015, is on the brink of joining an elite list of coaches to have lifted the trophy with two different clubs. He could also become only the second manager, after Pep Guardiola, to win a treble with two different teams.

Inter Milan are no strangers to the big stage like this. This is their seventh appearance in a European Cup/Champions League final, having previously triumphed in 1964, 1965, and 2010. However, they’ll be hoping to bounce back from their most recent final defeat to Manchester City in 2023.

Road to Munich

PSG: Backed by Qatar Sports Investments, PSG reached the final with a 3-1 aggregate win over Arsenal in the semi-finals, including a 2-1 second-leg victory at the Parc des Princes.

Inter Milan: The Italian giants edged out Barcelona in a dramatic two-legged semi-final in a 7-6 aggregate score after extra time in the second leg.

Head-To-Head

This will be the first-ever competitive fixture between PSG and Inter Milan. It is only the second Champions League final between a French and Italian club, the first being Marseille vs. AC Milan in 1993.

Inter’s record: 7 UCL final appearances, 3 titles (1964, 1965, 2010)

PSG’s record: 2 UCL final appearances (including this one), no title yet

Prediction

PSG: 56.6% chance of winning
Inter Milan: 43.4% chance of lifting the trophy
