Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has arrived at the Ikenne-Remo camp to oversee preparations for the Super Eagles B team ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) draw, set to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, on Wednesday evening.
At Chelle’s unveiling on Monday, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Ibrahim Gusau clarified that Chelle would play a supervisory role with the Super Eagles B team. The trio of Daniel Ogunmodede, Fidelis Ilechukwu, and Olatunji Baruwa—who led the team to qualify for CHAN 2024—will retain control of the team’s preparation and tournament participation.
The CHAN 2024 draw will be conducted at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre at 6 p.m. Nigeria time. Super Eagles Team Administrator Dayo Enebi Achor is already in Nairobi for the event. CAF’s Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu, will lead the draw proceedings, assisted by Ugandan legend Hassan Wasswa, Tanzanian star Mrisho Ngasa, and Kenyan icon McDonald Mariga.
Nineteen nations will feature in the draw, including joint hosts Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, alongside Nigeria, Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, and others, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.
