In a dynamic gathering of HR and business leaders, Proten International proudly announces the successful completion of its inaugural event, LEAP (Leadership, Exchange, Advancement, and Performance). Held at the prestigious Ijakadi Hall, Radisson Blu Ikeja, on November 3, 2023, this landmark event showcased Proten International’s commitment to excellence in human resource consulting.

The theme for this memorable event, “Leading Through Disruption,” unfolded with an insightful keynote speech by Elizabeth Okonji, founder of TGL Labs. Her presentation, “The Evolution of People Management in this Digital Age,” illuminated the transformative journey of people management amidst the digital age. Elizabeth boldly stated, “The advent of the digital era didn’t just supplement our roles – it transformed them,” and she offered predictions for the future, including the permanence of hybrid work models and the escalating impact of the AI Revolution.

The event also featured two compelling panel sessions. Olatunji Fatokun, HRBP at Airtel Nigeria, skillfully moderated the first panel, titled “Future of Organisation: Leading an Organisation of the Future.” Panelists, including Impact from Lenco, Debbie Ricketts from Access Bank (Oluwatoyin David Ajayi), Ope Onaboye of Renda Africa (Julius Olawale Olabisi), and Ololade Odunsi, Talent Acquisition Lead at Founders Factory Africa, engaged in a robust discussion about the evolving landscape of organizational leadership.

The second-panel session, “Navigating Disruptions: The Role of Finance and Operations in Business Stability,” was expertly moderated by Tolulope Alade, Portfolio Operations at Cardinal Stones. Panelists Jide Folami, Kingsley Aigbe, Onwumere Kelechi, and Tope Akinwumi, Country Manager at Uber Nigeria, provided insightful perspectives on strategies to navigate operational disruptions in the corporate environment.

The event provided a platform for valuable networking opportunities, fostering connections among guests, industry peers, thought leaders, and Proten representatives. Attendees engaged in discussions about the potential impact of LEAP on their organizations, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge exchange.

In a media interview, Deborah Yemi-Oladayo, the Managing Director of Proten, expressed satisfaction with the event’s outcomes, affirming that they met the objectives set by the organization. She highlighted key points that resonated with the audience and emphasized the positive reception of LEAP.

Olajumoke L. Akindorile, Ag Chief People Officer at TotalEnergies EP CPFA Ltd., served as the distinguished host, guiding the audience through insightful sessions and discussions with grace and expertise.

Proten International extends heartfelt gratitude to all participants, sponsors (Wizer Academy, Renda Africa and 360 Verify by Proten), and supporters whose collective contributions made the “Leading Through Disruption” event a resounding success. The overwhelmingly positive response reaffirms Proten’s unwavering commitment to helping people and organisation around the world realise their full potential.
