Notable Nigerians to grace Grand Health Bazaar 2013

Top players in Nigeria’s public and private sector are set to grace Grand Health Bazaar (GHB) 2013, an initiative of LiveWell Initiative (LWI), a non-profit organisation, which aim to improve the health status of Nigerians through wellness promotion, health-empowerment and positively influencing health-seeking behaviour.

Technocrats expected at the pre-event Wine & Cheese Cocktail set to hold at the Sliverbird Galleria Victoria Island, on Friday April 12th 2013 from 4pm-7pm include Dieziani Allison—Madueke, Minister for Petroleum Resources, Jide Idris, Commissioner of Health, Lagos State, Taofeek Tijani, Commissioner of Energy, Lagos State, Foluso Phillips, Chairman Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), Sam Amadi, Chairman, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Frank Aigbogun, Publisher, BusinessDay Newspaper, Diran Fawibe, IESL, Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti, GMD/CEO Skye Bank Plc, Segun Ogunsanya, CEO Airtel, Alexandre Manguele, Minister of Health, Mozambique, Joseph Odumodu, Director General, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Chidi Okoro, CEO, GlaxoSmithKline, Jimi Agbaje, Omotola Jalade-Ekinde, UN WFP Ambassador, Sina Fagbenro, DFID Regional Director, Oxford Business Group (OBG) among others.

“The US Consulate-partnered event GHB2013, scheduled to hold from April 17th -19th 2013 at the Havilah, via Sheraton Four Points in Victoria Island, Lagos has as sub-themes Power and Energy: a boost to the ecosystem and robust health; Property Day: ‘building in safety and safety in buildings: a learning continuum’ and Aviation: ‘Travellers’ Medicines and ‘in-flight’ healthcare.

It will be recalled that the first ever LWI GHB was the first ever grand health multi-sectoral bazaar which attracted endorsements from United States Consulate General which endorsed the event. UN Millenia2015, the Women’s eHealth, awarded the ‘Woman of the Year Laureate’ award to its Country Director in Nigeria, with accolades to the LWI GHB2011.

Highlights of this year’s event involve raffle draw freebies with winners to enjoy a free return ticket Lagos-Houston (1 business and 1 economy) by United Airlines, free Dongles and Internet subscription for a year by Mobitel, free trend TV satellite coverage. Skye Bank Plc is the Official Bank for this year’s event while United Airlines, the official event airline.
