Abdul-Aziz Maituraka, a prominent supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, on Tuesday disbursed N10.35 million as a Ramadan package to women, youths and officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina Local Government Area of the state.

The gesture was carried out through the Maituraka Foundation in Katsina.

Maituraka, who is an aide to former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari, said the intervention was aimed at supporting party members during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the event, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda described the donation as a demonstration of the APC’s commitment to service and the welfare of its members.

Radda assured President Tinubu of the state’s unwavering support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“I want to address those who do not mean well for the APC to have a rethink, as the state has just produced credible members to pilot the affairs of the party.

“I want to assure Mr President that we in Katsina State will make you proud come 2027 and beyond. Our unflinching support remains intact. Even today, we elected executive members of our great party at the state level who, together with the people, will deliver the mandate in the coming election,” Radda said.

The governor also used the occasion to announce the outcome of the state APC congress, which produced the State Commissioner for Water Resources, Bashir Saulawa, as the new state chairman of the party.

He commended Maituraka for the initiative and prayed for divine blessings upon him.

In his remarks, Maituraka said the Ramadan package formed part of his personal contribution towards the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Radda in 2027.

“Though this is an annual gesture, this year’s edition is unique because I expanded it to cover the entire local government. My first consideration is the APC, where I belong.

“This also provides me the opportunity to support the President and the Governor for their re-election. I am not vying for any position; my focus is to give solid support to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda,” he said.
