Recall that the National Assembly received a N2.17 trillion Supplementary Budget from the President for approval.

The Presidential Villa will get N2.9 billion worth of Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) from the government, and an additional N2.9 billion would be used to replace the automobiles in the pool. This planned expense coincides with ongoing protests by Nigerians over the National Assembly’s plans to purchase cars for N75 billion. Young people have staged rallies in Lagos and Abuja against the MPs’ planned expenditures during a difficult economic period for Nigerians.

The State House is to get N28 billion from the government in the proposed supplemental budget. Furthermore, N12.5 billion is going to be spent by the government on the Presidential Air Force.
