The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will, today, sign into law the state’s N3.3trn 2025 appropriation bill.
The signing scheduled to take place at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, will set the stage for the full implementation of the budget, which is the biggest by any of Nigeria’s 36 sub-nationals.
The Lagos 2025 budget has N1.29 trillion recurrent expenditure component, and N2.07 trillion as capital expenditure.

It is designed to drive ongoing infrastructure development efforts of the Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
The the State House of Assembly had, on Monday, approved N3.36trn as the state’s budget for 2025.
The approval followed the presentation of a report on the budget by Sa’ad Olumoh, chairman of the House of Assembly joint committee on appropriation and finance, and the subsequent voice vote by lawmakers during a sitting presided over by Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker of the House.
