The Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, has announced the promotion of Ahmed Raza to the position of general manager, effective from September 1, 2020.
Joining Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Lagos in 2017 as executive assistant manager, Raza brings over 15 years of widespread hospitality experience to his new role. His responsibilities include overseeing the complete operations and management of the hotel alongside the senior leadership team.
Raza held various leadership roles with brands such as the InterContinental Hotel Group, Marriot, Movenpick Hotel & Resorts and Hilton where he began his journey in 2005 within the Hilton Houston Hotel’s F&B department. Ever since he has honed skills in all departments of hospitality.

Commenting on his appointment, Raza said, “I am excited for the opportunity to lead such an amazing hotel that has been the cornerstone of the Lagos hospitality scene for almost a decade. I look forward to providing the necessary leadership and strategic planning for all departments. Additionally, I am excited to develop our Yes, I Can! culture, service standards and guest satisfaction in order to maximize operational potential.”

Raza is married to his lovely wife Hira and they have three wonderful children. He is an enthusiastic cricket fan and a remarkable table tennis player.
