Poland increases job search visa fee to €80

IMG_4037

Poland has announced an increase in the fee for its job search visa (C-type schenghen visa), now set at €80.

This visa provides a pathway for job seekers to explore employment opportunities within the country.

The visa fee for children aged 6-12 has also been raised to €40, aligning with the latest Schengen visa pricing guidelines.

The job search visa allows individuals to attend job interviews, network with potential employers, and explore the country’s labour market while staying legally for up to 90 days. However, it is crucial to note that this visa does not permit legal employment.

If a candidate receives a job offer, they must leave Poland before their visa expires and apply for a National D-Type Work Visa from their home country.

These changes impact travellers, business visitors, and job seekers worldwide. The updated regulations, which took effect in 2025, aim to streamline the visa process while enhancing security measures.

About the C-type visa

The Poland C-type schengen visa allows short-term stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period across Poland and other Schengen countries.

Traditionally used for tourism, business, and family visits, this visa is now becoming a viable option for job seekers looking to explore employment opportunities in Poland.

The updated visa regulations include stricter application procedures. Applicants must undergo more thorough background checks to prevent visa misuse. Authorities will closely monitor visitors to ensure they adhere to their stated purpose of travel. Short-term visitors will be tracked to prevent overstays or unauthorized employment.

These changes reflect Poland’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its visa system while providing opportunities for job seekers to explore the country’s labour market.

Digitalized application process

Poland’s modernised visa application process, which is now entirely online, significantly reduced paperwork and processing times.

Applicants are required to submit all necessary documents through an official online portal. However, first-time applicants must still visit a Polish consulate for biometric data collection.

Requirements for the C-type schenghen visa

To apply for a Poland C-type schenghen visa applicants must meet the following criteria:

A valid passport: Must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay.

Proof of travel insurance: Coverage of at least €30,000 in medical expenses.

Confirmed travel itinerary and return ticket.

Proof of accommodation: Hotel booking, invitation letter, etc.

Sufficient financial resources: Bank statements, sponsorship letters, etc.

Application process

The applicant needs to:
