Over 5,000 people will have their lives transformed in five years with Zarttalent skills empowerment as Z-Habitat, Nigeria’s cutting-edge incubation hub unveils a centre in Lagos-Nigeria to bridge innovation gaps between Africa, and Europe.

Nelson Ajulo, the chief executive officer at Zarttech Habitat speaking at the launch said the hub aims to be a place where youth can be trained, create a business network, and develop human capital resources, among others.

“Nigeria has huge human capital resources that need to be upskilled to enhance its financial capital,” he noted.

He disclosed that Z-Habitat is more than just a co-working space; according to him, “it’s an innovative hub designed to ignite entrepreneurial growth, collaboration, and technological advancement.

“We have created a dynamic ecosystem where startups, creatives, corporations, and innovators can converge to develop groundbreaking solutions to Nigeria’s most pressing challenges.

With access to world-class infrastructure, mentorship, and funding opportunities, Z-Habitat aims to drive Nigeria’s emergence as a leader in global innovation.”

Besides, Ajulo revealed that information about trends and developments in the business ecosystem is vital for businesses to thrive and that many firms struggle because of inadequate information.

“All stakeholders are not aware of what their competitors are doing. This hub is set to create awareness that will help entrepreneurs and/or employers make informed decisions,” he said.

He explained that the Zarttalent courses are designed to last about six months, after which the candidate will go for an internship for another six months.

“The training can curb unemployment and help the trainees earn up to six-digit figure salaries,” he noted.

Bengt van Loosdrecht, the Dutch ambassador-designate in Abuja-Nigeria applauded Ajulo and his team for the vision and innovative stride in setting up the hub, emphasizing that Nigeria has the potential to rule the world, which according to him makes the idea of a tech centre a great one.

“Many people in the West have come to realise that Nigeria is on the verge of taking off because a lot is happening here in the private sector production, especially by young educated people.

“I really believe there is a future in Nigeria with the establishment of Za-Habitat. It’s about showing the world that there are talents, there’re opportunities and there’re potential,” he said.

Helen Aghimien, the commercial director at Z-Habitat said the company founded in 2020 champions the charge in technological innovation, engineering bespoke software to drive businesses globally.

Aghimien highlighted some of the products of the hub that Nigerians can leverage to grow and develop their businesses and skills such as; Zaarttalent, Joble, JobID, Zartevent, and Veza, among others.

Speaking on the Zarttech foundation, she said; “Since January 2024, we have successfully trained over 200 students in Nigeria, further solidifying our reputation for excellence and impact in the tech education landscape.”

She explained that the mission of the hub is to empower entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to transform ideas into sustainable businesses.

“By fostering a collaborative space for creativity and ingenuity, Z-Habitat will play a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s economic future and positioning the nation at the forefront of technological advancement,” she said.

Some dignitaries from the Netherlands embassy present at the unveiling of the hub are Michel Deelen, the Dutch consul general in Lagos; and Sonia Fajusigbe, the policy advisor on entrepreneurship, youth employment & health care.
