Obaseki dissolves cabinet members, sacks SAs, SSAs

Edo re-accredits vigilante personnel

Barely two years after the Edo State executive council was constituted, Godwin Obaseki, the Edo State governor, dissolved the cabinet with immediate effect.

Obaseki, in a statement issued by Crusoe Osagie, special adviser on media projects to the governor, equally sacked all Special Assistants (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs).

The governor, who dissolved the state’s cabinet during the weekly executive council meeting on Wednesday in Benin City, thanked members of the council for their service to the government and people of the state.

“The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has dissolved the State Executive Council, expressing appreciation to members of the council for their service to the government and people of the State,” part of the statement reads.
