Newspapers distributors get new leadership

Newspapers need new model to align with media consumption habit

The Newspapers Distributors’ Association of Nigeria (NDAN), Lagos Island Zone, has elected new executive officers to run the affairs of the association for the next three years.

The general election which on Saturday, December 12, 2020, and keenly contested, saw the association’s incumbent chairman, Godwin Akpan, of Goddex Agency, re-elected overwhelmingly. Akpan will be taking charge of the zone for the next three years.

It should be noted that Lagos Island zone popularly, called Kakawa is the largest single distribution point of Press Products in West Africa.

Elected along with the chairman were nine other executive members, who will pilot the affairs of the association. They include Musibou Oloyode, vice chairman; Justine Anagwaonye, general secretary; Kenneth Akubuenyi, financial secretary; Yusuf Kehinde Olatunji, treasurer; Ukwoma Dele Ansalem, public relations officer; Raphael Adebisi, provost; Azeez Riliwan, welfare 1, and Emmenimadu Blessing, welfare 2.
