Lagos to produce new tech innovators, developers in 2024, Says Eneje

Scott C. Eneje, a Lagos-based business and technology expert, has predicted that the year 2024 would see Lagos State producing new and more tech innovators and developers.

Eneje gave this prediction while enumerating what the future holds for Lagos State in technology advancements.

“There has been an emergence of successful unicorns and an increasing global market interest in the African continent with Lagos expected to take a more centre stage in producing the next batches of developers turn startup founders creating products in major areas like retail technology, virtual reality, augmented reality, real estate, and entertainment technology,” he said.

According to him, changes in technology have made it more possible for more creators, developers and designers to have access to creating their community, thereby creating a competitive economy in areas of innovation and numerous product launches, which Lagos can benefit from in the future.

Eneje further said that Lagos has a lot to offer in the areas of digital and creative innovations, adding that opportunities such as cross-sector networking events would offer traditional creators leveraging technology to not just retain relevance, but improve market share and competency.

He pointed out factors such as collaborative projects and initiatives, digital skills development for traditional creative, government support and policies, cultural exchange programs, open data initiatives, and community engagement and advocacy as trends that would shape the advancement of technology in Lagos State.

Eneje said that Lagos has led the race for innovation in Nigeria as it has allowed multiple talents to rise and grow with access to the global market and the strong spirit of resourcefulness.

He also admitted that there would be tough times predicted by the best experts and analysts, which will, in turn, cause more innovation within the state as more and more people will seek to stand above the line of deterioration.
