Prince Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State Governor, made a heartfelt promise to bring the perpetrators of the tragic killing of Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Director of Finance and Administration in the Governor’s Office, to justice.
Visiting the bereaved family on Thursday, Governor Abiodun assured them of the state’s full responsibility for the wellbeing of Oyekanmi’s wife and children.
Expressing deep emotional distress over the incident, Governor Abiodun described the late director as a dedicated, hardworking, and honest individual, stating the profound impact and respect Oyekanmi held within the state workforce and the community.
During his visit, Governor Abiodun mourned the unexpected loss, saying, “How could we imagine yesterday morning that we will be here this morning condoling with this family… He left us asking questions since yesterday afternoon.”

The governor pledged relentless efforts to apprehend those responsible for the heinous crime, asserting, “I will not leave any stone unturned until these criminals are arrested and dealt with.”

Responding on behalf of the grieving family, Tayo Oyekanmi, the deceased’s younger brother, appreciated the governor’s visit, urging swift action to identify and bring the culprits to justice, seeking to alleviate the family’s anguish.
