Protesters in Lagos on Wednesday morning set the Lagos state bus rapid bus terminal (BRT) at Oyingbo on fire with many of the passenger buses set ablaze in the process. The terminal can accommodate over 50 buses at full capacity.
Speaking with BusinessDay while the inferno rages in the early hours of Wednesday morning, a resident on Ijero street, off Apapa road Oyingbo who identified herself simply as Pauline told our reporter that, trouble started when two youths were shot dead which eventually triggered into setting the terminal which serves as a mega parking station for the modern intracity buses on fire by angry residents.

The setting on fire of the BRT mega bus terminal at Oyingbo as at the time of this report is one of the many retaliatory attacks by angry Lagosians in response to the fall out of the lingering #Endsars protest that has entered the second week.
Pauline disclosed that, at the moment, that Ebute Metta, Oyingbo and Costain areas and its environs have been completely deserted, while very thick black smoke could be seen billowing around the vicinity raising renewed fears that more buildings may be on fire.
