Adeleke vows to be frontline developer of Osun

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has vowed to be a frontline developer of Osun State, saying his Government will continue to work towards developing the State.

The governor, who was installed as the Asiwaju Of Ede Land, his country home in Osun, by the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, noted that the development of the State should be a priority not just a choice.

“I vow to be a frontliner (Asiwaju) of development and growth for Edeland and Osun State as a whole. I will carry the light of positive transformation from towns to villages and from cities to rural areas across our dear State.

“To all Asiwaju title holders of various towns in Osun State, I welcome myself into your midst. On a lighter mood, I believe you are eager to receive me not just as the Asiwaju of Edeland but as the Asiwaju of Osun State,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of all the governors who attended the installation of Osun State governor, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is the Vice Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, congratulated the newly installed Asiwaju of Ede and commended Governor Adeleke for the infrastructural development ongoing across the State.

It will be recalled that first Executive Governor of Osun State, Isiaka Adeleke, who was the brother of the incumbent governor of the State who passed on in 2017, was the immediate past Asiwaju of Edeland.
