UnitedMasters ‘Live From Lagos’ concert thrills with superlative performances

At the launch celebration of UnitedMasters, a global music distribution powerhouse, in Nigeria recently, the vibrant city of Lagos lit up with unmatched energy as music enthusiasts and industry key players marked a monumental event.

Tagged ‘Live From Lagos’ concert, the much anticipated event, which held on the December 14, 2023, saw electrifying performances from renowned artistes who brought the house down with an impressive show at the Livespot Entertainment Centre.

The concert kicked off with an explosion of sound and color, setting the tone for an evening of musical ecstasy. Opening acts including Millymay, Syntiat and Gimba from the Sarz Academy set the night rolling, while high energy performances by Reekado Banks, Bnxn, Lojay and DJs Maze x Mxtreme & Dope Caesar were infectious, with fans and guests dancing and singing along to every beat with the inclusion of an address by Steve Stoute, CEO of UnitedMasters.

Moreover, Tobe Nwigwe, American rapper, did not hold back when it came to delivering an exceptional setlist as he performed in Nigeria for the first time ever. Showcasing a range from chart-topping hits to soulful ballads, as his band’s versatility captivated the audience throughout the entire show.

In attendance were prominent industry players and guests including; Don Jazzy, Gbemisola Abudu, MI and Eniola Mafe, Banky W, Tunde Demuren, Kel, DJ Xclusive, Waje, Toolz, Godwin Tom, Lanre Masha, Tega Oghenejobo, Muyiwa Awoniyi, Bizzle Osikoya, Candy Bleakz, Osi Suave, Pretty Boy D-O, Pheelz, P.Prime, Aibee Abidoye, and a host of others.

Beyond the music, the concert became a symbol of unity and celebration as the“Live from Lagos” was in collaboration with Don Julio, with VIPs being served Don Julio 1942. In the coming months, Don Julio and UnitedMasters will continue working together to unveil a series of programs aimed at spotlighting independent Nigerian artists and making strategic investments in the future of Nigerian music.

“UnitedMasters’ move into Nigeria is the next logical step in making independence the standard setting for the music industry all around the globe,” UnitedMasters CEO said in a statement.

“While we are active in a number of exciting markets around the world, Nigeria is simply second to none when we talk about talent density and untapped potential, both for individual artists and the Naija diaspora as a whole.”

UnitedMasters will continue to utilize the brand partnerships they already have with Don Julio, Coca Cola, the NBA and more, while simultaneously building relationships with brands on the ground to support local artists and contribute to the prosperity of the Nigerian music industry.
