Lagos to engage stakeholders on emerging tourism trends

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has concluded plans to hold an engagement session with tourism stakeholders in the hospitality sector.

The engagement will unravel current industry challenges, emerging trends, policy frameworks, and collaborative opportunities within the entire hospitality value chain.

According to a statement issued by Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Commissioner for Tourism Arts and Culture, Lagos State, the engagement is slated for May 30, 2024 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.

The initiative, targeted at bringing together key players in the hospitality sector including representatives from hotels, lounges, restaurants, bars, beaches, resorts, event centres and nightclubs for tourism development, underscores the commitment of the ministry to foster collaboration and drive sustainable growth within the sector.

“This engagement presents a valuable opportunity for us to listen, learn, and collaborate with our esteemed stakeholders. Together, we can harness the immense potential of our hospitality sector, drive innovation, and create impactful strategies that promote tourism growth while preserving our cultural heritage.

“The event will feature interactive sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to facilitate meaningful exchanges and partnerships. “Stakeholders are expected to participate actively and contribute their insights towards shaping a vibrant and resilient tourism ecosystem”, Benson-Awoyinka stated
