Opeyemi Awoyemi, Ayodeji Adewunmi and Olalekun Olude are the co-founders of Jobberman.com – West Africa’s largest jobs search website.

The site was launched in August 2009, at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria., where Awoyemi, Adewunmi and Olude were undergraduate students. The trio sustained a friendship which has evolved into a business relationship.

According to Awoyemi, Jobberman.com was his brainchild – which he sold to his friends. The site was set up to bridge the gap between opportunity and talent, and in the process creating a marketplace where employers and candidates can find one another more efficiently and cost effectively. The company sources job opportunities directly from companies and recruiters and broadcasts them onto the website. The prospective candidates search and apply for jobs by either visiting the website or via partner portals.

The company has grown rapidly – and has extended it’s reach to Ghana, and according to company sources – a french version of the site will soon be available to meet the west African Francophone market. By June 2012, Jobberman.com was ranked the fifth most visited site in Nigeria, and received over 5,000 job applications per day. The website was rated the 8th tech start-up to watch in Africa by Forbes magazine and is now recognized as West Africa’s most popular job search engine. It is currently the number one choice in West Africa for employers seeking to place opportunities for prospective job seekers.

Jobberman.com operates a subscription based revenue model – employers pay to access the site and upload and update job opportunities. Access to the site by job seekers is free.

In addition to the recognition by Forbes magazine, Jobberman.com team was nominated as ‘Team of the Year’ by job seekers and recruiters in the 2010 ‘Future Awards’.

Jobberman.com currently has offices in Lagos and Abuja (Nigeria) and Accra in Ghana.
