One of Nigeria’s successful businessman and investor in insurance, engineering, oil and gas sectors, Cyril Ajagu recently clocked 60-years. What was exciting on this celebration is not what he has acquired in terms of wealth, but the number of people he has touched their lives who continue to share testimonies of his sound personality.
As a successful businessman, whose entire personality connotes resilience, wisdom and fortitude, Ajagu has faced varying degrees of life challenges, and still able to sustain milestone he has reached.

He studied and qualified as an Engineer with B. (Tech) in Mining Engineering, holds a Masters Degree in Innovation Technology and (Dr. Sc. Hon) in Business Management and Corporate Governance from European -American University and also a Doctorate Degree in Business Admin from Swiss Business School (SBS) Switzerland.
He is a member of the society of Petroleum Engineers and has worked for seventeen years in the Oil and Gas Industry such as Mobil Nigeria and Overseas (North Sea), Schlumberger and Shell Petroleum Development Company (Nigeria) and International, before leaving the industry honourably for greener pastures.
Ajagu is a versatile, astute and well-connected businessman and has business interests in almost all spheres of business areas for the upliftment of mankind.
Staff and Management of African Alliance Plc and Universal Insurance Plc recently hosted him in a surprised birthday to mark his 60th Birthday.

My first encounter with him was in 2004 in his office in Port-Harcourt and I was working with global commerce Nigeria Assurance. Since that encounter, the way I see things has changed.
