Inspired by the company’s ambition to create value for customers and rethink the way multifunctional printers (MFP) work for them; Skysat Technologies, the partner of Konica Minolta Business solutions, has unveiled new bizhub i-Series smart printers.

The printing machine which was described as the next generation IT-enabled multifunction printer was launched recently in Lagos. The manufacturers said the i-Series is a smart technology hub that fully embraces the way businesses are evolving.

“The launch of the bizhub i-Series is an exciting milestone in the evolution of our MFP strategy, says managing director and CEO Sky Sat Technologies, Izzat Debs. “By listening to our customers and end-users, and building on our previous office printing solutions, Konica Minolta has addressed the need of our evolving workplace.”

Addressing the stakeholders in the printing sector, Debs said the Biz hub i-series was designed with the user in mind. He added that the machine is intuitive, safer, smarter, eco-friendly and has unlimited possibilities.

Hence, this raises the “bar in the office documentation and digital printing space in Nigeria.”

“It comes with features that allow people [to] complete tasks efficiently and effectively from anywhere”, Debs said, adding that Nigeria and West Africa would experience a quantum leap inefficiency and productivity.

While paper jam is a major complain in the market, Ramzi Debs, executive director of Sky Sat Technologies told BusinessDay that the products are generally best suited to handle paper jamming and crumbling, “but you have to use quality paper.”

Summing up the features of the new machines, he briskly said: “Improved quality, improved paper handling, interconnectivity and connectivity, longer consumable life, cheaper print cost, and improved remote services where we can diagnose the machine from anywhere in the world.”
