Glovo commits to seamless delivery for customers

Glovo, a multi-category app, has restated its commitment to meet the diverse needs of its Nigerian customers, just as it reassures Nigerians of seamless delivery with the recently released report on Burger consumption to celebrate International Burger Day.

According to Glovo’s latest report, burger consumption in Nigeria experienced a 312 percent increase in the last 12 months. Similarly, the report indicated that Fridays are the busiest days for burger orders, with March 1st seeing the highest consumption at 1,080 burgers.

The report also indicated that Nigeria witnessed a 35 percent increase in burger orders during the dry season compared to the rainy season, with August being the peak month. According to the report, the peak time for burger orders in Nigeria is 2 pm which shows that more people order more burgers for lunch.

“Nigeria emerges as a global leader in burger consumption growth and this reflects the evolving consumer preferences and the increasing popularity of convenient food options. At Glovo, we are committed to meeting the diverse needs of our customers by ensuring fast and seamless delivery of their favorite meals, contributing to the growth of quick commerce in Nigeria,” Lamide Akinola, General Manager, Glovo Nigeria, stated.

According to Akinola, Glovo has played a pivotal role in satisfying the growing demand for burgers across Nigerian cities. He disclosed that Lagos Island leads with the highest burger consumption, closely followed by Ikeja.

Similarly, Abuja experienced a remarkable surge of 1,681 percent, while Ajah, Festac, and Ikeja witnessed increases of 606, 543, and 462 percent respectively, reflecting the growing desire for fast food in Nigeria.
