Dufil reveals consumer engagement, CSR plans for the year


Dufil Prima Foods plc, maker of popular noodles brand – Indomie Instant Noodles, recently revealed it 2015 corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative and consumer engagement plans for the year.

This was issued in a statement made by Tope Ashiwaju, public relations/events manager, Dufil Prima Foods, in Lagos.

According to him, the various CSR and consumer engagement activities slated to take place this year include sampling of about 7,000,000 consumers nationwide; celebration of Indomie Fan Club 10 years anniversary, Christmas parties; education workshop for 3,000 teachers, donation of science laboratory equipment to schools, Ramadan and Easter celebrations, etc.

Ashiwaju said the rationale behind its 2015 plan was in line with the company’s objective of ensuring maximum consumer satisfaction. The sampling exercise will be strategically executed, not only to serve as a feedback mechanism, but to further strengthen the bond between the brand and consumers, and also assist the brand in aligning its offerings more accurately in meeting consumers’ expectation.

“Dufil Prima Foods plc prides itself in embarking on initiatives that enables us give back to the society. This is because we cherish our loyal consumers, as our existence is based on their continuous patronage. These various activities are conducted every year as a way of saying thank you to consumers for their unflinching support,” he said.

The sampling of 7,000,000 consumers this year will give potential customers a firsthand experience of the brand which could change their opinion and make them to become new loyalists of the brand, while at the same time sustaining existing consumers. The various activities lined up for the year will reproduce a store experience in consumers’ homes.

The sampling exercise is a continuous and regular activity implemented at different touch points and locations across the nation. It runs across all the various festive seasons throughout the year such as Easter, Ramadan, Christmas etc and also during brand sponsored events/ activities such as the Indomie Fan Club birthday parties, Children’s Day party, donation exercises as well as other sponsorship programs

It would be recalled that the sampling exercise is usually conducted using all the various Stock Keeping Units of the brand – Indomie Chicken Flavour (70g); Onion Chicken Flavour (70g); The Super Pack 120grams (chicken flavour), and Indomie Pepper Chicken Flavour (70g).
