ACAMB re-elects Bolarinwa as president

The Association of Corporate and Marketing Communication Professionals in Nigerian Banks (ACAMB) has re-elected Rasheed Bolarinwa of Polaris Bank as its president.

The decision was announced on Wednesday, marking a vote of confidence in Bolarinwa’s commitment to championing the interests of corporate and marketing communication professionals within the banking industry.

During his acceptance speech, Bolarinwa highlighted the association’s achievements over the past 24 months. He emphasised the collaborative efforts that have led to significant milestones, fostering innovation and excellence in corporate and marketing communications specific to the banking sector.

“Together, we have weathered challenges and embraced opportunities, further solidifying ACAMB’s position and relevance as a beacon of best practices in the banking industry.

“Under my leadership, ACAMB stood firm in support of the banks amidst the public scrutiny. It later became apparent to Nigerians that the scarcity of new naira notes was due to unavailability, not hoarding, though some banks in Epe, Ibadan, Sagamu, and Delta unfortunately faced attacks,” he stated.

Looking ahead to the new term, Bolarinwa expressed unwavering commitment to every member.

Other elected positions include Oze K.Oze from First Bank as the first vice president, Onipede Tolulope from GTBank as the second vice president, Jide Sipe from Ecobank, general secretary, Ikechukwu Iheagwam, Access Bank, assistant general secretary, Morolake Philip-Ladipo, from Wema Bank, elected treasurer, Halima Ishaq, financial secretary from Jaiz Bank, Omede Odekina of UBA, publicity secretary, Ozena Utulu, social secretary, from Heritage Bank.
