Main (1)

On Wednesday afternoon, Lagosians witnessed an unusual spectacle that left many intrigued and social media buzzing. Around 1:00 PM, at the bustling Eko Hotel roundabout, two of Nigeria’s top streamers, Peller and Jarvis, alongside ace comedian Kenny Blaq, created a traffic-stopping scene by casually grilling turkey and frying yam with branded equipment. A conspicuous sign that read “More Food is Coming” added to the curiosity.

Later that day, the peculiar event repeated itself at 4:00 PM at Ipodo Market in Ikeja. This time, Nollywood heavyweights Odunlade Adekola and Jide Kene Achufusi were spotted preparing food in the same unexpected manner, captivating onlookers. The spectacle sparked widespread speculation and swiftly became a trending topic across social media platforms.

The event took an even more intriguing turn when Abiola Oderinde, popularly known as Hunter of Hunter TV Africa, and his business partner Olanrenwaju Babalola, a Canadian mortgage professional and real estate investor, were seen mingling and enjoying the activities. Their presence fueled rumors about a possible major event on the horizon.

A key clue emerged from the back of shirts worn by event participants, which bore the phrase “Naija Food Fest.” While no official details have been released, Lagosians are now abuzz with anticipation that a significant food festival might be in the works.

Speaking on the mysterious event, Abiola Oderinde hinted at something groundbreaking in the pipeline. “We believe in celebrating what brings people together—those unforgettable moments that ignite joy, spark connections, and leave lasting memories. We’re working on something exciting that’s going to surprise and delight you. Trust us, it’s worth the wait,” he said.

Olanrenwaju Babalola echoed this sentiment, promising an experience unlike any other. “What we’re about to reveal is something truly special—an experience that will captivate and leave a lasting impression. The buzz has already started, and we’re excited to see how this will unfold. It’s going to be unforgettable,” he remarked.
The duo’s involvement has heightened expectations, given their impressive history of organizing successful events. Past collaborations include Asake Live in Canada, Seyi Vibez Live in Canada, Basketmouth’s Cancel Culture tour, K1 De Ultimate’s USA invasion, and the K1 De Ultimate New Year Fest.

Given this track record, many believe the “More Food is Coming” campaign is a prelude to the highly anticipated Naija Food Fest—potentially a grand celebration of Nigerian cuisine, culture, and creativity.
As Lagosians eagerly await official confirmation, the phrase “More Food is Coming” continues to trend online, fueling further speculation and excitement. Whether it is indeed the launch of the Naija Food Fest or something even more unexpected, one thing is clear: the city is ready for whatever comes next.
