Digital Equity Africa partners UNESCO and Oracle to host AI Summer camp

Following the success of Digital Equity Africa, at the recently held Kids Tech Fest: A Global AI Summit for Children, which brought together over 5,000 children, parents, and educators in Lagos has now put together Future Minds AI Summer Camp 2025.

This is the first of its kind to happen in Africa, an AI focused summer camp experience for kids and teenagers.

The transformative online AI learning experience is designed to equip children aged 6 to 17 with future-ready skills in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation.

In strategic partnership with UNESCO, Oracle Academy, and Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Future Minds Expression of Digital Equity Africa is setting the stage for Africa’s next generation of digital leaders.

The Camp will hold from August 4 to 16, 2025 and Demo Day will be on Saturday August 17th 2025.

The Campus will be located at Oracle Corporation, Heritage building, Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria. The program also covers some impact beneficiaries who have been selected from low income areas and given the opportunity to learn about AI.

The Future Minds AI Camp curriculum is developed in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Oracle Academy, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kids Tech Fest – A Global AI Summit for Children, Digital Equity Africa.

Children enrolled in the camp will be learn about and be exposed to discovery of how Artificial Intelligence works and why it’s important, understanding of AI safety, how to use it responsibly, ethically and staying safe on AI Tools, how to create music, visual art, and animations using AI tools how to design simple mobile and web applications and collaborate in teams to solve real-world problems.

Campers will also be able to pitch their ideas during Demo Day andearn a Certificate of Recognition as a Future Minds AI Ambassador.

This is where learning meets imagination and curiosity meets opportunity. Future Minds AI Summer Camp is intentionally designed to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and leadership in every child.
