Alter-Reflective Beats, affectionately known as ARB, recently set a commanding scene with their Felabration tour, honoring the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Led by Anthony Osunde, professionally recognised as Dr. T, the Alternative music band from Abuja mesmerised audiences across four significant locations, which they fondly referred to as “places of Resistance.”

The tour’s first stop was the iconic Afrika Shrine, a poignant homage to Fela’s legacy, where ARB’s tunes stirred the crowd’s emotions. They then proceeded to Bature, a private brewery in Victoria Island infusing their unique sound with the rich cultural essence of the city.

The journey continued to The Lighthouse, a familiar haunt for the band, known for hosting their weekly Chill Vibez shows. Finally, the tour concluded at Freedom Park, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

During these electrifying performances, ARB enthralled the audience with a diverse array of soul-stirring compositions. Songs like “Advance Slavery,” “This is the Way,” and “Hunga” resonated deeply, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of music enthusiasts. Ruth Mahogany’s poignant “Lessons Learnt” and the soulful rendition of “Rescue Me” by Odenose who is the vocalist of the band further cemented ARB’s prowess in conveying profound messages through their music.

ARB’s journey to prominence reached new heights earlier this year when their talent and dedication earned them the prestigious Vis-A-vis competition accolade which saw them travel to Spain and The Canary Island to perform their song to international audiences . This victory, shared alongside Alte artist Ruth Mahogany, solidified their position as trailblazers in the Nigerian Alte genre.
