Wakanow has moved to address common pain points in travel and financial management with the launch of its new products.

This range of innovative products designed to simplify travel and financial transactions include the Kalabash App, which offers a comprehensive travel companion; the Kalabash Wallet, which centralizes financial management; and the Kalabash Naira Card, which provides flexible and convenient payment options.

Each product is tailored to enhance the customer experience and meet their specific needs.

Speaking during the WakaNow Unpacked event, an annual tech and innovation expo which showcases the company’s latest products and technological advancements, Bayo Adedeji, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Wakanow said the company’s new products are designed to address common pain points in travel and financial management.

“For example, the Kalabash App streamlines travel planning and bookings, the Kalabash Wallet offers a secure and convenient way to manage finances, and the Kalabash Naira Card provides flexibility in payments with rewards. These products collectively enhance convenience, security, and overall customer satisfaction,” Adedeji said.

He said the new Wakanow website features a modern user interface, a modularized cart and checkout system, and integrated payment solutions, adding that these enhancements simplify the booking process, reduce drop-off rates, and improve conversion rates, providing a seamless and efficient experience for our customers.

The GCEO said the Wakanow Unpacked is the company’s annual tech and innovation expo where it showcases its latest products and technological advancements.

“It’s a platform for us to connect with stakeholders, share our vision for the future, and demonstrate how we are revolutionizing the travel and financial industries through innovation,” he added.

Adenike Macaulay, the Chief Executive Officer, Wakanow Nigeria Group who also spoke at the event said the Wakanow Unpacked event is crucial for Wakanow Nigeria as it highlights the company’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions and allows it showcase new products and services that are tailored to the Nigerian market.

She said the new website enhances user engagement through its intuitive design, clear call-to-action buttons, and streamlined navigation. She said these features make it easier for customers to explore our products and services, leading to a more engaging and satisfying user experience.

Ladi Ojuri, chief executive officer, Kalabash54 said the Kalabash App serves as a comprehensive travel companion, offering functionalities such as managing Pay Small Small (PSS) transactions, booking flights, settling bills, exploring local attractions, and discovering top-notch accommodations. It puts the power of travel management in the user’s hand, making travel planning and execution seamless and efficient.

Ojuri explained that the Kalabash Wallet simplifies financial transactions by allowing users to fund their wallet from multiple bank accounts. It supports multiple currencies and includes advanced security features like pin-enabled transactions.
