To deal with the challenge of post-harvest losses, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture plans to set up two cassava processing factories in Oyo State this year, an official said.

Adebayo Lasisi, the director, Federal Ministry of Agriculture in the state, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Tuesday.

Lasisi said, “One of the factories will be established at Ilora near Oyo town while the other will be sited at Aiyete in Ibarapa North Local Government area.”

He also said that two more rice processing factories would be established in the state this year.

The factories, he said, would process the large volume of rice being produced in Olorunsogo, Atisbo, Saki West, Saki East and Iseyin local government areas.
