20 councils in Delta benefit from FADAMA

Kogi, Fadama distribute farm inputs to 1,480 beneficiaries from four LGA

The project coordinator of the World Bank assisted project in Nigeria, Benson Ojoko, on Sunday said that no fewer than 20 local government areas in Delta had benefited from the FADAMA project in the state.

He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Asaba that in each of the local government areas, more than 10 communities benefited from the project, which was being supported by the World Bank.

According to him, more than 30 farmers in each community benefited from the project.

Ojoko said that the main trust of the project was to enhance sustainability of low income earners in the state through agricultural formation group programme.
