BHS International Ltd., the concessionaire of Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, on Monday said it would construct a 65-storey trade tower, expected to be one of the tallest buildings in sub-Sahara Africa.
The manager, corporate affairs of the company, Josephine Abraham, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
She said that the firm would also carry out other renovation and expansion works at the Square.
According to her, other projects to be carried out include expansion of the car park to accommodate 10,000 cars; renovation of 375 shops and office complex, as well as the construction of 200 luxury housing units.
She explained that the company would also construct a creativity centre, shopping mall and indoor advertising sites.
Abraham said that the projects would commence as soon as the company could get the needed funds, the sum of which was not disclosed.
