The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is set to adequately reward its members for their various roles in the continued successes of the party.

Its national chairman, Bamanga Tukur, gave the assurance in Makurdi at the North Central Zonal Town Hall meeting of the party.

The national chairman, who was accompanied by other members of the National working Committee, explained that the meeting was to address grievances and close all gaps that might exist in the party and position it for greater exploits.

Tukur said he had been visiting other zones to mend fences, acknowledging that members of the party had worked hard and made enormous contributions towards its successes.

He said such members deserve to be rewarded, adding that “rewards will certainly come.”

According to him, rewards must not necessarily be appreciated in monetary form and appointments but even in relationship and satisfaction given to members through other forms of recognition to encourage them to do better.

Tukur disclosed that committees had been set up to look into special cases where injustice has been done and disagreements have arisen with a view to correcting them.

He reaffirmed the commitment of his leadership to the 12-point programme of the party which, he stressed, must be anchored on peace and unity for success and charged the party’s organs at all levels to ensure that followership is on the same platform in terms of commitment and loyalty to the party administration.
