Jonathan extols Mark’s patriotism


President Goodluck Jonathan has commended Senate President David Mark for consistently demonstrating “exceptional patriotism” and leading the National Assembly into a productive partnership with the executive arm of the Federal Government.

In a congratulatory message to David Mark who turns 65 years, Monday, April 8, 2013, the president commended him for exhibiting great faith in the country in the overriding interest of national progress and development.

Jonathan also commended the Senate president for his commitment to peace, unity, stability and progress in Nigeria in the various capacities that he has served the country in a glittering career of public service.

“Over the past years, you have consistently demonstrated exceptional patriotism and abiding faith in the peace, stability, and progress of our dear nation in every capacity in which you have been called upon to serve”.

Mark, he said, distinguished himself service in the military, having served as military governor of old Niger State and member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
