Maxi Okwu-led faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has postponed its town hall meeting scheduled for Enugu on Friday, following a court order.
A statement by Okwu in Enugu on Wednesday said the Federal High Court in Awka restrained his group from holding the meeting.
It stated that the town hall meeting had been temporarily postponed pending the determination of the suit.
The statement stated that the order also restrained his executive committee from parading themselves as leaders of the party, adding that they would abide by the order until it was set aside.
“I have received an electronic copy of the controversial order made on April 15, 2013 in suit no FHC/AWK/CS/88/2013.
“We are not put on notice and as we speak the order has not been served on me.
“As a counsel of 35 years standing, I will abide by that court order on me until it is set aside”, it stated.
