The Lagos State government will spend N90 million to provide palliative measures on the 1.3km Ago Palace Way under reconstruction.
Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, commissioner for works and infrastructure, Lagos State, disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday.
The commissioner said temporary rehabilitation measure will first provide adequate drainages to accommodate the water lodged on the road surface and consequently the road will be raised above its present level.
“The ongoing rehabilitation process will also necessitate the relocation of service and properties encroaching on the road, so as to facilitate the expansion of the road”, he further explained.
According to him, the road which before now was a tarred road deteriorated as a result of high influx of people and development into the area.
