A more proactive move that would drive the micro-small medium scale businesses in the country is being advocated by the minister of trade and investment, Olusegun Aganga, as he charged the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to ensure that entrepreneurs get the requisite services required to raise the status of their business.

Aganga at the official launch of the first ever on-line registration portal of the Small and Medium Enterprises in Abuja weekend targeted at providing government with the required data of various small scale businesses in the country, as well as disposing government to proactively manage and coordinate their affairs, said the agency is strategic in wealth creation and a major force in driving the economy as being witnessed in other countries.
