Just a few weeks ago ,Tech point Africa pulled one of the biggest crowd in Lagos to its Tech Inspired event which also featured workshops in BlockChain and Cryptocurrencies , then it was Block Chain Saturday with a meetup that brought together like minds in the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Space with discussions around the topic “The Future of Money”.
What is Bitcoin ?
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. It is a decentralized digital currency without a central bank or single administrator that can be sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer bitcoin network without the need for intermediaries.
Cryptocurrency made the leap from being an academic concept to (virtual) reality with the creation of Bitcoin in 2009. Satoshi Nakomoto created the first cryptocurrency which is bitcoin.
Despite so many hiccups, Cryptocurrency has shown that it is here to stay and the trade is soaring in Nigeria as the economy grapples with uncertainty .
Nigeria’s cryptocurrency community has grown rapidly over the past three years and it keeps growing.
On Friday, 19th July, Crypto Hub will hold its first Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Traders exclusive Night party. The goal of the event is to bring together government stakeholders, fintech players and active participants in the Nigerian Cryptocurrency space to discuss ideas, business strategies that will foster industry growth. The event would also afford Cryptocurrency enthusiasts the opportunity to meet and network with themselves.
